As is usual on USA travel, I woke up at stupid o’clock am…… then every hour for the next three hours. By about 6.00am I decided to read my Kindle in bathroom, but J was stirring so we decided to get up and about. Walked out into the hotel grounds, quite chilly, snow on the peaks around! Lovely setting, nice pool. Early breakfast, again loving the hotel setup and character. Booked out by about 8.30am, visited Walmart, with its old snow still visible up in the car park. Gotta get wine before we hit Utah Navajo Nation!!!
Visited the Ansazi Indian ruins and then drove the straightest road ever to Page, 130 miles away. No towns passed AT ALL.
Drove straight to Antelope Canyon, MUCH better than we expected, me for photos & J for enjoyment!
Superb place. Gotta be seen to be believed.
Drove then to Horseshoe Bend about 6 miles away. A hike of about ¾ mile, two photos, then a hike back uphill!! We were too scared to get too close to the edge, but the photos look good!

Isolated houses or “shacks” were the only things visible.
Booked into the hotel and got to the room just in time for sunset! Spectacular! No wonder they call it The View!
Nothing around for miles so we had to eat at the restaurant…. No alcohol! Very reasonably priced, considering you’re a captive audience. A really good day, great photos, early to bed again
Looks like a great trip! Did You use a tour for antelope canyon? Was it a 2 hour drive from flagstaff? Terrific photos!
